About

The Wire has been West Potomac High School’s go-to source for student news since 1985. We are a student-run newspaper and online news site, funded by patrons, fundraisers and ads. The Wire provides fresh student perspectives through editorials, op-eds and opinion pieces. We offer news in many different categories including sports, student issues and academics and the goings-on around school, along with other breaking stories that affect the student body.

We are YOUR voice, students of West Potomac!

This year’s journalism advisor is Mrs. Kerry Cooper, the Editors-In-Chief are Phoebe Schultz and Miguel Tsang.
