On Saturday, Oct. 4, West Po is hosting its annual Homecoming dance. This year, the voted theme is “Blast to the Past.”
From 8 to 11 p.m., the main gym will be open for students to dance, sing, and enjoy a decade’s throwback.
West Po’s Homecoming is the most anticipated event of the year. Students cannot wait to attend this exciting event this weekend.
“I’m thrilled for Saturday because I get to do something fun with my group of friends,” senior Sofia Rubinstein said.
Junior Kate Wierzba is also attending Homecoming, she said, “My favorite part of homecoming is getting ready because I like to spend time with all my friends.”
Physical tickets are being sold in the cafeteria during all lunches from Sept. 29 to Oct. 3 for 20 dollars. Tickets can also be purchased online on MySchoolBucks, and can be picked up in the cafeteria.
Other fun-filled Homecoming activities include the “Neon Out” football game against Hayfield this Friday, Oct. 3, and the “13 Going on 30” drive-in movie in the senior lot, which is to be dated.
“I love all the festivities leading up to Homecoming, and like dressing up for them,” sophomore Lucia Lakatos Alcantara said.
Don’t forget to participate in Spirit Week for the rest of the week. Wednesday is punks vs. hippies, Thursday there is no school, and Friday is decade’s day (9th-70’s, 10th-80’s, 11th-90’s, 12th- 00’s).
