Juniors Upset Seniors in Annual Powderpuff Game, 8-0

After practicing hard for this moment, Team Mario (seniors) and Team Luigi (juniors) were ready to rumble. Both teams showed up ready to struggle for the victory. With the pressure building up, both teams took to the fields ready to play some flag football.

But even before the game, the players and coaches took to social media for some friendly smack talk.

After all the ruckus on Twitter, the players finally began the game.

The first quarter was scoreless, but in the second quarter, team Luigi quarterback, Sophie Adler, threw a touchdown pass to Grace Moery. With Six points on the board, team Luigi attempted the 2 point conversion and succeeded in an amazing turn of events.

With the score of 8-0, the game continued.

It began raining in the early first half, and the players played through the rain. The 2nd half was a back and forth battle, but unsuccessful for both teams.

The final score was 8-0 with the juniors stumping the seniors for the first time in 8 years.

With this year’s action is finished, it seems Luigi was no longer being outshined by his brother Mario. The girls did a great job playing and the boys did a great job coaching. Now the only question left is if the juniors can repeat the win against next year’s juniors.
