The SGA has decided to create a “Spirit Court” instead of the traditional Homecoming court from previous years, upon the county’s request. Students will be nominated by how spirited they are during spirit week, and according to leadership students Ella Westmoreland and Laine Welle, “students will send a picture of their outfits to the West Po homecoming twitter or email, then it will be put on a Google form to be voted on.” Students must include their name and grade when sending the picture to either of these places. The more pictures/outfits a student sends in, and the more they participate in the spirit week, the greater chance they have of being selected to be on the final poll where people will vote. Two students from each grade will be selected to be in the court. Voting for the spirit court will begin Thursday and Friday at all lunches with QR codes and links included on lunch tables. Voting will be on a google form with the candidates’ pictures attached.The court will be announced at halftime of the homecoming game versus Annandale. Send your pictures to the link below.
