The 4th Annual Travis Manion Foundation Operation Legacy Project Veterans Day of Service at West Potomac High School will be held from 9am-3pm on Monday, November 11th. The purpose of this project is to help build relationships between volunteers and veterans and first responders and spread awareness for their service, according to Jessica Statz, assistant principal.

Students, parents, teachers, and administrators, along with active military and veterans, are encouraged to volunteer for service projects across West Potomac’s campus like painting, weeding, mulching, and grilling hamburgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs.

If you are a member of a club at West Po, like the NHS, JROTC, or Leadership, just to name a few, you can register through your club. If you are not a part of a club, speak with student government or a club or teacher about your interest in registering. Any student can register as long as they have a sponsoring adult, and the deadline to register is November 2nd.
