Senior Athlete Profile: Allison Thompson
-Played Varsity for four years
-Played first base and catcher
Best Memory
- “My best memory was against Mount Vernon HS and I was catching and the pitch was a drop third strike, I threw to first, and coach screams because there was a runner at third, but I trusted Asia Reeves’ arm, who was at first, as soon as she caught the ball she threw it home to me and I tagged the runner coming home to finish the game.”
Biggest Regret
- “Not being able to see my team thrive like we should have this year, I truly believed that it was the year for our team.”
Advice to Younger Players
- “My advice to younger girls is don’t doubt yourself, in the beginning, it’s gonna be a hard start, but it takes time, trust the process. Don’t give up on yourself, because your coaches haven’t given up on you, they truly do love you, even if it’s tough love.”
The Plan Going Forward
- “I will be attending Shenandoah University majoring in Pre-Physical Therapy and I will be on the softball team.”
