Apple’s “12 Days of Gifts”

Apple is giving away free books, songs, and TV shows from its App Store over the winter holidays.

Who doesn’t love when there are free books, songs, and TV shows in the iTunes store? Well, this holiday season, Apple is taking on the concept of freebies in a big way. From December 26th to January 6th, Apple customers that have downloaded the free app “12 Days of Gifts” can download a free book, movie, song, e-book, or TV show each day.

The app has been released in previous years in other countries but this is the first year it has been released in the United States. On each of the 12 days, when users open the app, they will receive an offer for a free gift, which they must download within 24 hours. The app will only works on the iOS7 software, and the user must have and be logged into an Apple ID.

To download the app, search “12 Days of Gifts” in the App Store. Even though the official start date for the gifting hasn’t yet arrived, Apple is giving away an early gift to those who download the app: the song “No Better,” from breakout pop artist Lorde.
