Round 2 of the Qatar World Cup
(11/25/2022) Wales Vs. Iran started the day with Iran winning and scoring two goals in the last minutes. Qatar vs. Senegal ended with Senegal winning 3-1. Netherlands and Ecuador had a tie 1-1. It was a very paced game but they tied. England vs. USA was one of those games that was very hyped up but failed to live up to that hype as it ended with a tie. 14.5 million people tuned in to watch the England and U.S match.
(11/26/2022) Tunisia vs. Australia. Australia scored one with Mitchell Duke, 0-1. Then, Poland vs. Saudi Arabia was 2-0. Poland scored two goals from players Piotr Zieliński and Robert Lewandowski. France vs. Denmark was 2-1. Of course, Kylian Mbappé scored a brace. Denmark had a goal from Andreas Christensen. The final match of the first week was Argentina vs. Mexico which was 2-0. Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernández both scored. Many people from Mexico were really disappointed, but many people from around the world were happy with or sad with their teams.
(11/27/2022) Japan vs. Costa Rica ended in a Costa Rica victory by one goal. Keysher Fuller scored the only goal of the match. Second match of the day was Belgium vs. Morocco. Morocco surprised the world by beating Belgium, one of the favorites to win the world cup. The match ended up 2-0. Canada vs. Croatia was the third match. Canada started strong with a Alponso Davies goal in the first minutes of the game but Croatia turned it around and won 4-1. The game every fan waited for was Germany vs. Spain. The game scoreboard was opened in the minute 62’ by Alvaro Morata but then equalized by Niclas Fullkrug Germany’s striker.
(11/28/22) The day started off with Cameroon vs. Serbia. Cameroon started winning but then Serbia turned it around and scored three goals. Everything looked fine for Serbia until Cameroon tied the game up. The match ends up 3-3. South Korea vs. Ghana was the next match of the day. Ghana started winning 2-0 but South Korea tied up in 3 mins. Mohammed Kudus won the game for Ghana ending up 3-2. The next game was Brazil vs. Switzerland. Casemiro scored the only goal of the game for Brazil ending up in a 1-0. Portugal Vs. Uruguay ended up 2-0 with a Bruno Fernandez brace.
