Students Search for Jobs at School
The College and Career Center sponsored the 2nd annual jobs fair on Thursday, March 30 in the cafeteria after school.
This event was open to students who are, or will be, 16 or older. Students were able to connect directly with more than 20 employers and organizations to find information about employment opportunities for them. More than 20 businesses and organizations from the Alexandria area will be on hand. “[It’s a] great opportunity for students to connect with local employers, it can help students to find local jobs and help employers get jobs filled, a win-win for our community,” Ms. Young, College & Career Specialist, said.
Students seemed excited that the school was helping them in finding a job and giving an opportunity to be hired. “I think the job fair is probably the best way to find a job if you’re under 18, 17 or 16, and it’s just a nice place to find information about jobs and careers,” Brian Cordova Centeno, junior, said.
The fair had opportunities for full time or part time careers and jobs. If students want more information, they can stop by the College and Career Center.
