In his freetime, he loves to watch “foreign” movies and he enjoys reading books about history  as it is “his favorite subject outside of math.”

“I very much enjoy watching movies and it is hard for me to pick a favorite one,” Dr.Hany said. “However if I had to pick a series it would be The Godfather movies.”

At one point in time, Dr. Hany was working a corporate job when he realized that it just wasn’t for him and decided that teaching math could be cool.

“Math has always been a subject I love, and it played a significant role in my education and career,” Dr Hany said. ‘When I left my corporate job I felt that giving back some of my knowledge in math to the younger generations was my calling, and I found that I enjoy teaching math to high school students tremendously.”
