Homecoming Week Events to Look Out For

Wolverines be prepared! Above is the schedule for next weeks Homecoming themed events.

Wolverines, mark your calendars for September 28th to enjoy a night under the stars at West Potomac Homecoming. With homecoming week not far away, West Po students have many ways to display their school spirit from following the spirit day themes to participating in the various Homecoming week activities.

Some of the Homecoming themed events around West Potomac next week include the Juniors vs. Seniors kickball game at the softball field which starts at 3:30 pm next Wednesday and will have free entry.

Next Wednesday is also the drive in movie which will be held in the West Po senior lot starting at 7:30 pm. The movie being played will be Disney’s Tangled and students should bring cars or chairs to sit and watch the movie in. There will be free entry for the movie and a food truck will also be available for students to purchase food from.

Next Thursday is Field Hockey senior night at 7:30 pm.

Next Friday is the Homecoming pep rally during 8th period and the Homecoming tailgate which will take place outside of door 14 from 5-6:30 pm. Also Friday 7:00 pm is the Homecoming football game the theme is white out and Homecoming royalty is announced during the games halftime.

Next Saturday is homecoming with the dance being held at West Po from 8-11 pm. Homecoming guest forms need to be submitted by Thursday, September 26th. Tickets go on sale Friday and will cost $20 if bought at lunch not through MySchoolBucks, tickets cost $15 on MySchoolBucks.

She loves playing and watching sports and she is an avid watcher of the WNBA and NCAA Women's Basketball.
