Dr. Robert Wise, a seasoned educator with 17 years of teaching experience, is best known for his work in Entrepreneurship, Fashion Marketing, and DECA, a non-profit for future entrepreneurs. He has been shaping young minds across all grade levels. Born in Baltimore and later raised in Germany, Dr. Wise returned to the U.S. to complete his education, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from North Carolina Central University, two Master’s degrees in Education and Business Management from Strayer University, and a Doctorate in Ministry from New York City. In addition to his teaching, he owns several businesses, though he respectfully declined to name them.
Dr. Wise moved from the business world to the classroom because he, “wanted to help young entrepreneurs gain insight into the many opportunities that align with entrepreneurship, as well as learn from the good, the bad, and the ugly.”
He is passionate about cultivating future leaders, whom he defines as “one that takes every opportunity as a learning experience and wants to build upon that.” Dr. Wise’s classes are known for their traditions, such as annual fashion shows, trips to New York City, and visits to Hershey Park. His approach to teaching is described as realistic, honest, and encouraging, with high expectations for his students.
Though he can be blunt at times, his wisdom and guidance are widely appreciated. One of his memorable quotes is: “The teacher shows up when the student is ready to learn. The teacher leaves when the student has mastered the question.”
