This Saturday, October 19th at 5:00 PM, the West Potomac Choir is inviting the community to join them for a variety of Halloween themed activities for their new fundraising event: Trunk or Treat. The event was suggested by choir student Allie Miller as an opportunity for the choir to raise money while connecting with the community.
“The goal of this event is to raise money for the choir department and hopefully start an annual tradition where we can get together with pyramid schools and generate excitement for the choir program at West Po,” Eliza Froemke, a senior student in the choir program, explained.
Attendees are encouraged to donate a minimum of $5 for entry following a pay-what-you-can policy. Card, cash, and tap payment methods will be accepted.
Along with Trunk or Treat —a variation from trick-or-treating in which the trunks of cars are decorated while people pass out candy from them— students will be operating a craft table, costume contest, movie, and offering face-painting. People of all ages are encouraged to visit and make a donation to support the choir.
