Math is something that most people might spark interest in and pursue their smartness. Or would rather fall asleep or give up halfway. Math is about learning and making mistakes. If you’re not making mistakes then you’re not learning it correctly. This is why Mrs. Herman loves coming to West Potomac to educate kids into finding the good in math just as she does.
A way Mrs. Herman makes math educational and fun at the same time by putting her students in groups to work together, fun table worksheets, so that everybody can work together and know their peers. She believes the recipe to a good school year is knowing your classmates and knowing that making mistakes is the way to success.
“I like putting the students together in groups so they can get to know each other.”- Lindsey. Herman
She went to the University of Virginia where she earned her math and physics diploma, and now has been teaching math for 7 years. Although she always saw the good in math at a young age because of her mother being a math teacher.
Mrs. Herman would love to travel the world if she could, but she claims she woud want to see one place in particular..
“To go to Greece would be really cool to see, to be along the crystal water. I’d always picture the blue roofs, and I love Mediterranean culture and trying the food” – Linsdey. Herman.
She would love to travel around the world with her husband if she could have more time. Mrs. Herman would love to walk around the towns and visit multiple different islands of Greece. Mrs.Herman would love to try all the varieties of seafood.
