Mr Driscoll is a Career and Technical Education teacher, who teaches Economics and Personal Finance, Accounting, and Digital Applications.
He graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology, and then he went back to Virginia Tech to get his Masters degree in Career and Technical Education. He also taught in Honduras for a year, teaching fourth grade.
“In college I volunteered in this club Students Helping Honduras, which had students go down and volunteer and help build schools,” Mr Driscoll Said. “After teaching for a couple of years in a middle school, the organization reached out and said hey we know you used to volunteer here, would you like to come back and teach for a year, So I took a break from traditional American teaching and went down and taught there.”
In his free time, Mr Driscoll enjoys exercising, watching sports, hanging out with friends, going to concerts, reading, and playing video games. He also is a Fitness Instructor part-time, and enjoys sharing his passion for exercise with others.
At one point, Mr Driscoll was doing business internships and working in an office, when he realized that it wasn’t for him, and he decided that teaching was his calling.
“When I was working in Honduras, I realized that I really liked interacting with students and watching them get excited about learning made me realize that I wanted to be a teacher,” Mr Driscoll said. “I found a good avenue to teach Business instead of working an office job and found that I really enjoyed it.”
