This week, West Potomac students, rising and current, are set to view materials reviewing Academic Advising and have the chance to attend various events related to the 2025-2026 school year course selection process. One such event, Rising 9th Grade Family Night and Curriculum Night was initially set to take place today, however due to school closure, it has been pushed to January 9th, this Thursday.
Rising 9th Grade Family + Curriculum Night
From 6 to 7 p.m., families of 9th grade students will view a presentation in the Auditorium. A presentation for rising 10th and 11th grade students will take place in the Kogelman Theatre at this time as well. An information session on all grade levels will be available for Spanish speaking families in room 504.
After the presentations, families can tour the cafeteria where Electives ambassadors will have info stations set up. Break Out sessions will also take place at this time.
Academic Advising Presentation During Advisory
On January 10th, students will be shown a presentation discussing academic advising. Students will review course selection processes and the various resources available for determining courses.
