After a seeming endless wait, Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album has arrived. She announced her brand new album, “The Life Of A Showgirl”, on Aug. 12, 2025, through the New Heights podcast, hosted by her fiancé, Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce.
More than 1.3 million people listened in on the episode, while others found out about her new album through Swift’s post on Instagram.
The pop star revealed the cover during the episode, which features her in a bathtub wearing a bedazzled dress.
“I love it, she’s so gorgeous,” Addelyn Pianalto, freshman, said. Swift and the Kelce brothers continued to discuss the features of the image later on in the episode.
Swift found the time to write 12 songs to create the album while performing over 100 shows. She had three days with nothing to do in between every few shows, and she used this time to brainstorm lyrics and melodies. Max Martin and Shellback helped her produce this album, which had her constantly flying to Sweden.
Since the release on Oct. 3, this album has already received lots of love. It’s reached number one on Apple Music.
Autumn Farris, freshman, is one of many West Po students who is loving “The Life of A Showgirl.”
“I really like ‘CANCELED!’ because I think it sounds like ‘Reputation’, which is one of my favorites,” Farris said.
Other fans throughout the school have been listening to the songs during their free time.
Taylor Swift had fans all around on their toes waiting to listen.
Sofia Araus, freshman, was feeling lots of enthusiasm. “I was so excited when she announced it,” she said.
