Genovieve Riley, a junior, brought the Special Olympics Unified Sports (Unified) to West Po during the 2024-2025 school year. The program is sponsored by Ms. Lainie Abrams, a special education teacher for high and low incidence students at West Po. [High/low-incidence] refer to classifications for students based on the seriousness of their disability and the level of support they require from the staff. Unified is an organization that brings together kids with and without disabilities over sports such as soccer, basketball, and track and field.
