Women’s Basketball Enters Final Stretch of Regular Season at 14-6

The Lady Wolverines are 14-6 on the season and ranked 15th in the DMV, according to novahoops.com. The girls are on a five game conference win-streak, and are currently sitting at 5-1 in conference play. Their only conference loss thus far came on the 14th of January at the hands of the TC Williams Titans, they avenged that loss on Friday January 31st with a Senior Night win over TC.
“We’re coming together more as a team,” said Varsity Junior Guard Danea Mackey, on how the team has been improving throughout the season.
The girls return to action tonight at 7:30 with an away match-up against the Annandale Atoms, followed up by their regular season finale against the Hawks of Hayfield this coming Friday.
“We’re going to continue to grow, but we need to stay locked in,” said Mackey, “The best is yet to come”.
