In her first year teaching at West Po, but 15th year teaching math to students, Ms. Waigand teaches Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 honors. 

Ms. Waigand said she “always knew she wanted to be a teacher” and has “always loved the job of a teacher and loves to help kids.” She enjoys getting to know all of the students in her classes, and loves to see them grow. If she could get another job she wouldn’t because of how passionate she is about teaching math, but if she didn’t need a job then she would travel the world. 

In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and reading. She especially enjoys going to Dunkin Donuts and getting her favorite drink, iced coffee.
