Sophie Schulz, a freshman, has lived in Virginia for about a year, and has lived in six different places, including overseas. She is excited to be a part of The Wire and help the staff get news out to the community. She is on the cheerleading team, and was cheer captain at her old middle school in New Mexico. She enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Buster. In journalism class this year, she hopes to become more involved and try new things, as well as keeping people updated.

Ms. Pavanne Veltman teaches Spanish II and III for grades 9-12. She has been teaching for 10 years, the past 3 being at West Potomac. Ms. Veltman lived in the Netherlands before coming to the U.S., and she began teaching here because of her sister....
